You Tube - A really good video on what stem cells are. It is made for uninformed college students, which honestly aren't that much smarter than you are.
Stem Cell Therapies - A good site with the pros and cons of stem cells.
KidsHealth - Site has basics, but some hard words cannot be avoided. CLICK CONTINUE at the bottom of the page for more info.
DiscoveryNews Article - A short article on the possibilities of growing human stem cells inside of other organisms. In the middle of the article is a link to some pictures (with captions!) about 10 ways scientists have used human-animal hybrids.

Comparing a Cell to a Factory - This site directly compares cell parts to factory parts. It does not always use the same ones in our list, but it may be helpful for you to see how it is done.
Cell Parts Metaphors - This table makes some metaphors of its own and some of them are very similar to our own.
